There's some good acting and an actual plot for the main characters, even if the killer reveal is cheap, obvious and uninspired. Still, I found myself engrossed instead of just watching while playing on my phone. Makani spends much of the movie walking on eggshells, trying to distance herself from a revealing trauma, but also keeping her and Ollie’s relationship something of a secret (though they make out in his car a couple of times).
